The vase in the De Witte Zwaan collection is decorated with a stylized tulip in red, ochre, and yellow, and a white band bearing the inscription "Bulbi-Cultura 1860-Haarlem 1910." It was made to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the "General Association for Bulb Culture (AVB)," likely commissioned by the Lamp company. HJ Lamp, located on Barteljorisstraat in Haarlem, was a crystal and porcelain dealer.
