Description
Antje Egter van Wissekerke was born in The Hague and grew up in a wealthy family. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague. She continued her studies in Munich, where she worked as an apprentice in the studios of various artists. Back in the Netherlands, she studied with the art educator HP Bremmer. In 1912, she settled permanently in Laren, NH. Antje Egter van Wissekerke primarily painted still lifes and landscapes, but she also produced many lithographs (see the De Witte Zwaan collection).
