With more than two hundred objects from art, design, fashion, and science, this exhibition offers, for the first time in the Netherlands, a comprehensive cultural-historical overview of the flower. Flowers Forever shows how flowers evolved from mythical and religious icons to status symbols, commodities, and links in the global ecosystem.

The dinnerware comes from the Silberwarenfabrik P. Bruckmann & Söhneeis and was manufactured around 1900. During this period, artists such as Hans Christiansen, Peter Behrens, and Josef Hofmann were active.
